While road conditions improved across much of the county today, slushy, snow-packed, and wet roads and bridges are expected to refreeze overnight, creating hazardous travel conditions through tomorrow morning.
Rutherford County Schools will be closed for students, with an optional teacher workday, on Tuesday, February 3. Remote work is authorized for eligible employees.
Forecast temperatures indicate additional improvement in road conditions tomorrow afternoon, and we are optimistic about returning to school on Wednesday. We will announce specific plans for Wednesday’s school operations by 5:00 PM tomorrow evening.
